United Women in Faith Small Groups at Community UMC

 

Small Groups meet monthly to participate in spiritual growth, educational enrichment, 

mission projects and fellowship.

 

Faith: 

Contact Barbara at 757-467-0420

Meets at 1PM on the third Thursday in members' homes.

Outreach: Maintaining the CUMC Food Pantry. Collect, organize and deliver food and personal hygiene items for Food Panty at Church of the Ascension as well as other missions.

 

Grace: 

Contact Peggy Hensley 757-495-9648

Meets at 12 pm monthly on the second Tuesday at the church in the Parlor. 

Outreach: Winter Shelter, Samaritan House, Wesley Community Center, Operation Smile, Kits for Conference, Ascension Food Pantry and public school school support (supplies and reading/tutoring). 

 

Hannah-Wesley Circle:

Meets at 10 am on the third Tuesday

Outreach:  Supports SPCA by collection old towels, blankets and carboard tubes. 

Also, supports clients of F.O.R. Kids and their moms.

 

Hope:

Contact Debi via email

Meets monthly at 7PM on the second Tuesday in members' homes.

Outreach: Providing Beach Bags (weekend food) monthly for a local elementary school, Winter Shelter, Blankets for Homeless bag meals, Kits for Conference, college students communication/support.

 

Martha:

Contact: Sue cell 443-480-8202

Meets at 9:30 AM on the second Thursday monthly in members' homes.

Outreach: Visits McLeigh House and Post Oak to sing to the residents, Operation Smile, Food Pantry and College Student communication/support
